Wild Thoughts Podcast #3: North of Stillwater

In the third installation of AWA’s “Wild Thoughts Podcast,” Bill Ingersoll is joined by Scott Daskiewich, chair of the New York Chapter of the Native Fish Coalition. During the course of a 30-minute discussion, they trade tales about one of their mutually favorite areas: the Five Ponds and Pepperbox Wilderness north of Stillwater Reservoir. This wild but inscrutable region is seen by few people, but it has accomplished some spectacular feats of natural recovery over the last 20 years. If you’re already familiar with the Five Ponds Wilderness, then pull up a chair and have a listen. If this is all new to you, then pull out a notepad. Either way, this should be a fun conversation.
